About the challenge: Empowering Change through Code
Welcome to the Pebble's FrostByte Hackathon, an exciting opportunity for high schoolers to leverage their coding skills for a meaningful impact! This event is not just about writing lines of code; it's about using technology as a force for positive change in our communities and beyond.
In a world increasingly shaped by technology, young minds have the power to address pressing social issues through innovative solutions. This hackathon is designed to channel the enthusiasm and creativity of high schoolers towards projects that contribute to the greater good. Whether it's tackling environmental challenges, promoting inclusivity, or addressing health and education disparities, participants will have the chance to make a real difference.

Requirements
What to Build
Build a quality software application that solves a social good problem of the theme that will be announced at the Hackathon's start! All projects submitted must be related to some form of software or technology (we are not accepting any hardware submissions and they will be automatically disqualified). If you are a beginner, you can create simple UI mockups and describe your wanted logic. We'll be grading you along with the other submissions, so please be sure to make your desired logic as in-depth as possible.
What to Submit
- Github link to code. Make sure repository is public. If you aren't using Github, submit any other link related to your project (Figma, Google Slides, etc.). In the event your project has no link, simply use www.example.com as your submission link.
- Submissions will be done through Devpost. Please make the information in the submission README as in-depth and quality as possible. The judges would like to learn more about your project from the README than just in the demo video.
- Any additional resources that you might want judges to consider. This could be images you attach to the submission or a link to a presentation with more information.
- We require a demo video. You will be able to add a link when submitting your project. Optimally upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and set it to unlisted.
Cross submission is NOT ALLOWED. If we see any projects that have been submitted to other Hackathons they will AUTOMATICALLY BE DISQUALIFIED. The goal of this Hackathon is for you to create new software and new solutions.
Demo Video Details:
Your demo video should be 2-4 minutes in length. This IS NOT A VIDEO EDITING CONTEST. We are not interested in seeing fancy edits or elaborate production. We want to see you walking us through how to use your project and the underlying logic.
